What causes pain with gallstones?

My mother has gallstones and she often complains of severe pain. I've been reading up on it, and I'm curious to understand what exactly causes that intense pain with gallstones. Is it the stone moving or something else?

Gallstone pain can be really intense and scary. Usually, it happens when the stones try to block the bile duct, especially after a heavy meal. Please take rest and consult a doctor soon so they can guide you properly.

Hey, don't stress too much, standard gallstone issues are very common and highly treatable these days. The pain happens because the stones block the flow of digestive juices. Just avoid oily parathas for now and get a quick appointment with a specialist.

Eating very light, oil-free food can prevent those painful attacks to some extent. But honestly, once gallstones start causing severe pain, home remedies won't cure them. You need to get an ultrasound done and see a surgeon because sometimes surgery is the only permanent relief.

Look, clear cut baat hai, gallstone pain means your gallbladder is struggling to push out bile because of the block. Don't sit and experiment with oil-drinking therapies or magical cures you see online. Go straight to a good hospital and get an ultrasound done before the pain gets worse.

My cousin went through this last month and the pain in her upper stomach was unbearable. Her doctor explained that when we eat fatty foods, the gallbladder squeezes, and if stones are there, it hurts like crazy. She got a lap surgery done and she is perfectly fine now.

If you have gallbladder pain, get a basic abdominal ultrasound done first; it usually costs around 800 to 1500 rupees depending on the lab. Don't delay because emergency surgery in private hospitals can be very expensive. Planning it early in a decent hospital with insurance or CGHS will save you a lot of money.
