What causes pain while urinating?

I've been experiencing a burning sensation and pain while urinating for the past two days. It's quite uncomfortable and has me worried. What could be the common reasons for this kind of pain?

Bro honestly this happened to me last semester during exams when I was barely drinking water. It turned out to be a simple urinary infection because of dehydration and holding it in too long. Just start chugging water and please go see a doctor if it doesn't get better by tomorrow.

Currently reading this at 3 AM while my baby refuses to sleep. From what I remember from my own miserable experience, it is usually a UTI or sometimes even heat. Do yourself a favor and get it checked soon, nobody needs burning pee on top of zero sleep.

Since I have diabetes, my doctor told me that high sugar levels in urine can easily cause recurrent urinary infections and pain. I always keep my sugar under control to avoid this. If you have any history of diabetes in the family, please get a fasting sugar test done along with a urine test.

I panicked so badly last year thinking it was some major disease when I felt that sharp burning. Actually, the doc just told me my body heat was high and it was a mild infection. He gave me some basic antibiotics and an alkalizing syrup, and it cleared up in three days.

Aise mamle mein thoda dhyan dena chahiye. I tried drinking tons of coconut water and barley water which definitely helped soothe the heat, but the pain only stopped fully after proper medicine. Drink plenty of liquid but definitely let a doctor do a quick test.

Please don't ignore this thinking it will go away on its own. I sat on a similar pain for a week and the infection traveled up to my kidneys, which was absolute torture. Get a urine routine test done today itself and show it to a general physician.
