What causes pain inside anus?

Lately, I've been experiencing some discomfort and pain inside my anus, especially after passing stool. It's a bit embarrassing to talk about but it's bothering me. What could be causing this kind of internal pain?

I experienced this pain and went to a reputed hospital where the doctor clearly explained it was a fissure. I highly recommend visiting a good physician and asking all your questions openly to get the correct treatment.

My family suggested sitting in warm water with salt, which does help soothe the pain temporarily. However, for a real cure, you must trust a doctor's diagnosis as it could be piles or a fissure. Please see a doctor soon.

As a diabetic, I know that infections can escalate quickly, so any rectal or anal pain must be taken seriously. Please do not manage this at home. You should see a specialist doctor immediately for a proper diagnosis.

I literally just recovered from this last month, and it was a painful fissure caused by constipation. The doctor's prescribed ointment and stool softeners worked wonders. Please don't hesitate to see a doctor, it brings so much relief.

When I had sharp pain inside, it turned out to be an anal abscess that required medical drainage. I can only share that ignoring it made it much worse, so please consult a medical professional for your condition.

My doctor explained that anal pain is usually caused by a tear in the lining, called a fissure, or swollen veins, which are hemorrhoids. He emphasized that high-fiber diet and plenty of water are key, but a physical exam is necessary to rule out abscesses. Please consult a doctor.

Pain inside the anus can be due to hemorrhoids, fissures, or an infection. Please do not try any self-treatment or ignore it, as it can get worse. Go get it checked by a general surgeon or doctor immediately.
