What causes pain in lower left side?

I've been feeling a consistent dull ache in my lower left side, sometimes it gets a bit sharp if I twist. It's not very intense but it's bothering me. What could this pain in the lower left side be attributed to?

Beta, in my experience, pain in the lower left side is very often just trapped gas or mild constipation, which gets common as we age. Don't worry too much, but don't ignore it either. If it persists for more than two days, go see your family doctor.

A sudden change in diet or lack of fiber can cause mild digestive spasms on the left side of the lower abdomen. Drinking warm water and eating light khichdi can help soothe the digestive tract. However, if the pain is sharp or constant, please consult a medical professional.

I had a dull ache on my lower left side last winter and thought it was some muscle tear. My doctor told me it was actually just severe acidity and mild constipation. A proper checkup is always better than guessing.

I completely panicked a few months ago thinking my kidney or some organ was failing due to lower left pain. It turned out to be just ovulation pain, which is completely normal for women! Just monitor it, and if it stays, ask your doctor.

Lower left abdominal pain shouldn't be ignored as it could be diverticulitis or a kidney stone. Skip the home remedies and schedule a consult with a gastroenterologist or a general physician for an ultrasound. It is better to get a clinical answer quickly.

I get this lower left side cramp sometimes when I eat too much junk food from the hostel mess. Usually, it goes away after drinking a lot of water and resting. But yeah, if it's super painful, better to tell your parents and visit the campus doc.

Hey, stay calm. Lower left pain is usually nothing serious, just some indigestion or a minor muscle pull. Try lying down comfortably and sip some warm water. If the pain gets sharp or is accompanied by fever, we should definitely visit a clinic.
