What causes melanoma skin cancer?

I'm very careful about sun exposure, but I've been seeing a lot of awareness campaigns about skin cancer lately. What exactly causes melanoma, which is a type of skin cancer? Is it only sunlight, or are there other factors?

Melanoma is serious skin cancer, and the biggest cause is excessive UV exposure from the sun or tanning beds. As someone into fitness, I make sure to use sunscreen even for outdoor workouts and avoid peak sun hours. It's about prevention. If you notice any suspicious moles, get them checked by a dermatologist, don't take chances.

Namaste. Our skin needs protection from the harsh sun, especially here in India. While there are genetic factors, prolonged exposure to UV radiation is a key cause of melanoma. Practicing mindful sun exposure, wearing protective clothing, and applying natural sunscreens are good preventive measures. For any concerns, a dermatologist should be consulted.

Melanoma? Probably from all those times I forgot sunscreen and thought 'nah, Indian skin is invincible'. Spoiler: it's not. Lack of sleep also makes me forget everything, including sun protection. But yeah, too much sun is the main culprit. And maybe genetics. Go get that mole checked if it looks dodgy, don't be a hero.

Reading about skin cancer can make you instantly check every mole, right? I've been there! While melanoma is serious, it's mainly linked to UV exposure and often has specific signs. Don't jump to conclusions, but do get any suspicious changes on your skin examined by a dermatologist. It's better to be sure than to worry unnecessarily.

Skin cancer like melanoma is a serious topic. I've learned that overall health management is crucial, whether it's for BP or skin. UV radiation exposure is a major risk factor, so sun protection is vital. Regular skin checks, just like blood pressure monitoring, are important for early detection. If you notice changes in moles, don't delay seeing a doctor.

Hey, don't stress too much about melanoma, but be smart about it! It's mostly from too much sun, like getting badly sunburnt. So just be careful with the sun, use sunscreen, and if any mole changes or looks weird, just get it checked by a doc. Better safe than sorry, ya know?

When it comes to something as critical as melanoma, you need clear, professional advice. I always go to a reputed hospital for any major health concerns. The causes are primarily UV radiation, genetic predisposition, and sometimes atypical moles. If you have any concerns about a mole, please consult a dermatologist and ask them all your questions directly. Don't rely on incomplete information.
