What causes lung cancer?

I'm a bit worried about some persistent coughing my uncle has, and it got me thinking about lung health. What are the main causes of lung cancer? I want to educate myself more about it.

Lung cancer is primarily caused by smoking, including active and passive exposure. However, other factors like radon gas exposure, asbestos, air pollution, and genetics also play a significant role. It's a complex disease, and if there are any concerns, consulting an oncologist is essential for accurate information and guidance.

My uncle developed lung cancer, and it was so hard on the whole family. They said it was mainly due to years of smoking. It just makes you realise how careful we need to be, especially for our kids. Protect them from any kind of smoke, even passive. It's devastating to see.

Lung cancer? Probably my sleep-deprived body just giving up. Or maybe all the stress from work. But seriously, smoking is the biggest culprit, right? And living in a metro city with all this pollution also feels like a slow poison. Ugh.

Ho na, main reason toh smoking hi hai, direct ya passive. But aajkal toh pollution bhi itna hai, toh woh bhi ek factor hai. Aur kabhi-kabhi toh family history bhi hoti hai. Toh bachna chahiye in sab se. Haan na?

Thinking about diseases like cancer can be really anxiety-inducing, I totally get that. It's natural to feel scared. The best way to combat that fear is to get accurate information from reliable sources, like doctors, and focus on what you *can* control, like avoiding smoking. Don't let the fear paralyse you.

I was just reading about this! Besides smoking, which everyone knows, apparently things like radon gas, asbestos, and even air pollution in big cities are also big risk factors. It's kinda scary how many things can contribute, even if you don't smoke.

While many things contribute, avoiding smoking is the main thing we can do for our lungs. My grandmother used to say pure air is life. While traditional practices focus on healthy living, for something as serious as cancer, one must rely on medical science and doctors. Please, don't try home remedies for such a serious issue.
