What causes liver enzymes to go up?

My recent health check-up showed my liver enzymes are a bit elevated. The doctor said we need to monitor it. I'm trying to understand what factors can cause these enzymes to go up. Is it something in my diet or lifestyle?

Liver enzymes going up is quite common, don't panic immediately. Often, it's things like too much fried food, a little too much drinking during festivals, or even just being a bit overweight can cause it. Sometimes even strong medicines can affect it. Simple things like cutting down on oily food and walking more can help, but always confirm with a doctor if levels are very high.

Oh, when liver enzymes go up, it's like your liver is sending a little SOS! 🚨 Could be things like too much party peena (alcohol), some viral infections like hepatitis, or even if your liver is getting a bit fatty. Don't worry too much, but definitely get it checked out! 😊

My liver enzymes probably went up just from dealing with my kids' endless demands. But seriously, it's often things like fatty liver from all the yummy but unhealthy food, or maybe a bit too much 'social' drinking. Certain meds can do it too. It's your liver's way of saying 'Hey, pay attention!'. So, attention, it is.

Yaar, liver enzymes go up for so many reasons, actually. It could be because of fatty liver, which is super common now, or viral infections like hepatitis. Even some medicines or too much alcohol can cause it. It's basically your liver showing it's under some stress or damage. So, better to get it checked by a doctor, haan.

Excuse me, I'm new to this, but when you say liver enzymes go up, does that mean they are leaking out of the liver? And what kind of things make them leak? Like, is it always serious, or can mild things cause it too?

From a dietary point of view, elevated liver enzymes can definitely be linked to what we eat. Fatty liver disease, often caused by high intake of processed foods, sugars, and unhealthy fats, is a common reason. Also, certain medications or viral infections can cause it. Sticking to a balanced, plant-rich diet and avoiding excesses is so important for liver health.

I once got my blood test results and saw elevated liver enzymes and my heart dropped! I immediately thought the worst. Turns out, for me, it was just a temporary thing, possibly from some medication I was on or a bit of a fatty liver from too much junk food. It can be caused by many things, from alcohol and infections to even muscle injury. So don't panic, but do get it checked properly by a doctor.

Dude, liver enzymes going up can be kinda random sometimes, or so I heard. Like, apparently even intense workouts can temporarily bump them up? But the main stuff is usually fatty liver from bad eating, or like, if you're hitting the booze too hard. And those hepatitis viruses too. It's basically your liver saying 'I'm not okay, fix it!'
