What causes high liver enzymes in females?

My aunt recently got her blood tests back, and they said her liver enzymes are high. She's worried and wants to know why this happens specifically in women. Is there a difference compared to men?

High liver enzymes in women can be due to many things, not just for men. Sometimes it's fatty liver, which is so common now with our modern diet. Certain medications, or even some hormonal imbalances can affect it. My athai (aunt) used to say 'eat clean, live long' but always, always consult a doctor for proper diagnosis, it's very important.

High liver enzymes can be triggered by things like poor diet, lack of exercise leading to fatty liver, or even some supplements. For females, hormonal changes or certain medications can also play a role. Focus on a balanced diet, regular activity, and definitely get it checked by a doctor to rule out any serious conditions.

Beta, don't worry too much just yet. High liver enzymes can have many reasons. Sometimes it's just mild fatty liver, which often improves with diet changes. Certain medications or even some infections can cause it. I've seen it happen with many women in my family. Just show the reports to a good doctor, they will guide you.

Oh, high liver enzymes, that sounds really concerning. Does anyone else get really anxious about these kinds of reports? I heard fatty liver is a common cause, especially in women. Are there other reasons specific to females, like hormonal things, that I should be aware of? I get so worried.

High liver enzymes? My mom had this. Doc said it was fatty liver because of not enough exercise and eating out too much. For women, sometimes certain birth control pills or even pregnancy can mess with it. So yeah, get a proper checkup, no point guessing.
