My gastroenterologist explained that gallbladder pain, or biliary colic, usually happens when a gallstone temporarily blocks the bile duct. This block causes the gallbladder to contract forcefully, resulting in sharp pain in the upper right abdomen. Eating fatty meals often triggers this contraction.

Gallbladder pain typically feels like a sharp ache under your right ribs that might go to your back. It is mostly caused by gallstones blocking the flow of bile, or general inflammation of the gallbladder walls. Avoid heavy, greasy dinners and get an ultrasound done to be sure.

Gallbladder pain is usually due to stones or infection blocking the bile ducts. It can get very intense, so please see a doctor.

I suffered from severe gallbladder pain for six months before finally getting laparoscopic surgery. The pain starts suddenly, especially after eating heavy parathas or dairy. My advice is to cut down on fats completely until you can get the stones removed.

My grandmother used to suggest drinking warm water and avoiding coconut oil when we had upper stomach pain. While it is good to eat light, gallbladder pain can become severe, so it is best to visit a doctor. They will guide you if you need an ultrasound.

That right-side rib pain is no joke, it woke me up at 3 AM thinking I was having a major chest issue. Turns out my gallbladder just hated the double cheese pizza I ate. Honestly, save yourself the sleepless nights and get it scanned.
