I know exactly how stressful and isolating it feels to have these painful blisters around your mouth, especially when you have to face people. It used to make me feel so self-conscious and anxious about my health. Please remember it is incredibly common and does not mean anything is seriously wrong with you.

Every time I get one of these, I spend hours on Google worrying if it is going to scar my skin forever or spread inside my mouth. Try to avoid looking at it in the mirror constantly like I do, because the stress makes the outbreak worse. Just use your doctor's prescribed cream and try to distract yourself.

It is so hard to eat or speak comfortably when you have these sores on your mouth. Wiping the area with cool chamomile tea bags or applying a bit of pure aloe vera can really help soothe the throbbing pain. Just make sure you do not pick the crust so it can heal without leaving a mark.

Beta, these mouth blisters often happen when there is excess heat or fatigue in the body. You should drink plenty of cool coconut water and eat simple, non-spicy meals for a few days to let the system cool down. However, do consult a doctor if the pain is severe or if they do not start drying up soon.

I woke up with two small burning blisters near the corner of my mouth and I am terrified they are going to spread further. Has anyone else experienced multiple blisters popping up at once? Please tell me how long they usually take to dry up and go away.

Hey there! These are standard cold sores caused by the HSV-1 virus, which flares up when your immune system is slightly low. The most practical tip is to keep the area clean and dry, and apply an over-the-counter antiviral cream as soon as you feel the tingle. Avoid sharing cups and lip balms while it is active.

This is my very first time getting a painful blister near my lower lip, and I am a bit confused. Is it okay to apply my regular lip balm over it to keep it from cracking, or will that make the infection worse? I would be very grateful for any gentle advice on this.
