What causes fever at night only?

My daughter has been having a fever every night for the past week, but she is perfectly fine during the day. We are very confused and worried. What could be causing fever only at night?

My family always consults specialists at Fortis whenever someone gets a recurring night fever. It could be due to tuberculosis, urinary tract infections, or other inflammatory issues. Please book an appointment with an internal medicine doctor and get proper blood tests done instead of waiting.

Look, getting a fever only at night is not something you should ignore or sleep on. Go get a basic CBC and typhoid test done tomorrow morning. It is better to spend a little time at the clinic now than to let some hidden infection grow bigger.

My grandmother used to say that night fevers happen when the body is exhausted, and she would make me drink warm pepper milk. While that brings comfort, my doctor explained that our body temperature naturally peaks in the evening, making mild infections more noticeable then. Please consult a doctor to find the real cause.

Please do not make the mistake I made last year by ignoring my night sweats and low fever, thinking it was just work stress. It turned out to be a severe infection that took me months to recover from because of the delay. Get yourself checked by a general physician right away.

Hey, do not worry too much, but let us be smart about this. Night-time temperature spikes are usually just the body's natural immune response working harder while you rest. Just make sure you are drinking enough water, get a doctor's opinion tomorrow, and get some good sleep tonight.

I had a similar issue a few months ago where my temperature would spike only around 9 PM every day. In my case, it turned out to be a urinary tract infection that had no other major symptoms. Once the doctor gave me the right antibiotics, it cleared up completely.

Haan yaar, yeh sirf raat ko bukhar aana sach mein bada annoying hai. Actually body ka temperature cycle hi aisa hota hai ki infection raat ko zyada trigger hota hai. Ek baar achhe doctor se consult kar lo aur blood test karwa lo, faltu mein tension lene se kya fayda, na?

Oh god, I get so anxious when this happens because my mind immediately goes to the worst possible diseases. Please don't panic like I do, but definitely get a doctor to check it out soon so you can peace of mind. Keeping a log of your exact temperature each night might help the doctor a lot.

When your body is fighting something, heavy workouts can actually put extra strain and trigger evening temperature rises. I'd say pause the gym for a few days, focus on clean high-protein meals, and stay well hydrated. Let a doctor run a quick check before you get back to your regular lifting routine.

I know how exhausting it is to feel fine all day and then start shivering as soon as you want to sleep. Wiping down with lukewarm water helps bring the temperature down safely at night. However, since it is recurring, it is very practical to get a blood test done to see if there is any underlying infection.
