What causes eye pain?

Sometimes, I get this sharp, throbbing pain in my eye, almost like a headache but only in my eye. It's really uncomfortable and makes it hard to focus. What could be causing this eye pain?

I totally get how unsettling eye pain can be, it makes everything difficult. Sometimes it's just screen fatigue, but it could also be a small infection, or even just dry eyes from AC or fans. If it's persistent, definitely worth getting it checked by an ophthalmologist.

Sometimes eye strain can cause pain, especially with so much screen time. Staying hydrated and eating foods rich in Vitamin A and Omega-3s, like carrots, leafy greens, and flaxseeds, can help maintain eye health. But if the pain is severe or comes with redness, definitely consult a doctor first.

I've wondered about this too! From what I've seen online, it could be anything from digital eye strain (my biggest suspect lol) to allergies, dry eyes, or even infections like conjunctivitis. Sometimes a foreign object can also cause pain. It's a long list of possibilities.

Hey, don't worry too much, eye pain can have many simple reasons. It could be something as basic as staring at your laptop for too long, or maybe just some dust got in. But if it's really bothering you, or if it feels sharp or constant, please get it checked out by an eye doctor. It's always better to be safe.

Eye pain can be very bothersome. Often it's due to eye strain or dryness. If it doesn't go away with rest, please see a doctor. Wishing you well.

Oh man, eye pain, that's like the worst. Can't even enjoy looking at a plate of delicious biryani properly! Sometimes it's just from staring at screens too much, or maybe a tiny eyelash fell in. Make sure you're eating good stuff, lots of veggies. But if it's really bad, don't just 'Google it,' get a doc to check it out.

Eye pain can stem from various causes, ranging from benign conditions like eye strain, dry eyes, or allergies to more serious issues like infections (e.g., conjunctivitis, stye), inflammation, or even glaucoma. Self-diagnosis is not recommended. If you experience persistent or severe eye pain, especially accompanied by vision changes or redness, consulting an ophthalmologist for a precise diagnosis and appropriate treatment is crucial.

Please, if you have eye pain, do not take it lightly. Once I had what I thought was just irritation, but it turned into a serious infection because I delayed seeing a doctor. It could be anything from a simple dry eye to something more complicated like an ulcer. Get it checked by an eye specialist without delay, only they can tell you the real cause.

Eye pain is not fun at all. With PCOS, we always have to be a bit more mindful of various symptoms that might pop up. For eye pain, it could be a number of things from simple strain to something needing proper medical advice. I'd gently suggest getting it looked at by an eye specialist to rule out anything serious and get proper relief.

Mere saath bhi hua tha, once I had terrible eye pain and freaked out thinking it was something major. Turns out, I just needed new glasses and was straining my eyes a lot. So, it can be something very simple. But don't ignore it if it persists or feels severe. Get it checked, you'll feel much better once you know.
