What causes exercise induced asthma?

Whenever I try to do any vigorous exercise, like running or playing sports, I start coughing and find it really hard to breathe. My doctor mentioned it might be exercise-induced asthma. What are the common causes for this condition?

Get a spirometry test done at a government hospital or a local diagnostic chain where it costs around 500 to 800 rupees. Once you have the diagnosis, you can plan your budget for a simple inhaler which is quite affordable and highly effective.

As someone managing high blood pressure, I realized that cold-weather exercise can stress both my breathing and my heart. Keeping track of your lung function with a doctor's guidance is essential to stay safe during physical activities.

My mother suggested having warm ginger tea before workouts to soothe the chest, which is comforting. However, my pulmonologist explained that cold, dry air during intense breathing causes airway inflammation, and using the prescribed inhaler 15 minutes before running is the safest way.

Haan na, running or doing heavy workouts in cold weather triggers my coughing so much. The dry air causes our airways to tighten up quickly, which is why warming up properly is very important.

I used to think my lungs were just protesting against the gym, but it was actually exercise-induced bronchoconstriction! It's just your airways getting dramatic when you breathe fast through your mouth.
