What causes eczema on hands?

My hands have been so dry and cracked lately, especially between my fingers, and they itch like crazy. My sister said it looks like eczema. What are common reasons for eczema on hands?

Honestly, sometimes skin conditions can be linked to other health issues. I have thyroid, and sometimes my skin flares up for no clear reason. Have you had your basic blood tests done recently? Maybe a consult with a dermatologist and also getting your general health checked is a good idea. Don't self-diagnose, ok?

Arre, mere ghar pe bhi ek relative ko hua tha aisa.

Don't ignore it, it can get worse.

Eczema on hands is quite common. It's often due to irritants like harsh soaps, detergents, or even frequent hand washing without proper moisturizing. Sometimes it's allergic. Best bet is to see a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

Namaste. Sometimes, skin issues also reflect internal imbalance, no? Stress can be a big factor. Along with medical consultation, perhaps try gentle breathing exercises or meditation to calm your mind. And ensure you're hydrating well from inside out.

Haan na, ye hands pe eczema kaafi logo ko hota hai. Mere friend ko bhi hua tha. Usne bola tha ki zyada garma garam paani use mat karo aur harsh soaps se avoid karo. Ho sake toh, doc ko dikha do, woh proper cream denge.

As someone with PCOS, I know how frustrating skin issues can be, because sometimes they're linked to hormones or inflammation. Eczema can have many triggers, from environmental to internal. It's always best to get a professional opinion from a dermatologist to rule out anything serious and get the right treatment.

Been there, done that! For me, it was definitely linked to washing dishes a lot without gloves. The hot water and detergent were a nightmare. Use cotton-lined gloves for all wet work, and moisturize constantly with a thick, emollient cream. See a derm for prescription strength if needed.

Oh, I'm new to all this but I also get some redness on my hands sometimes, especially after washing them a lot. Is eczema like, really itchy and dry? I hope you find a solution soon.

Dekho, pehle toh ghar mein jo soaps, handwash use karte ho, woh mild wale le lo. Aur har baar haath dhone ke baad ek achha moisturizer lagao. Raat ko sone se pehle thoda vaseline ya coconut oil bhi laga ke dekho. Agar ye sab se fark na pade, toh doctor ke paas jaana hi padega.
