What causes cold sweats during sleep?

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat, even when my room isn't hot. It's quite disturbing and affects my sleep. What could be the causes of cold sweats during sleep?

At my age, I have realized these night sweats are often just our body's way of reacting to a heavy dinner, anxiety, or minor hormonal shifts. Don't let your mind race to the worst conclusions. Keep your bedroom airy and see if it improves in a few days.

My doctor explained that cold sweats at night can be triggered by low blood sugar levels, sleep apnea, or even chronic anxiety. He advised me to track my glucose levels and monitor my sleeping patterns before jumping to any medication. It is best to consult a physician for a proper diagnosis.

Sometimes it is just because of extreme stress or bad dreams, ho na. Merely sleeping under a very heavy blanket can also cause this sudden shivering and sweating. Try keeping a light cotton sheet instead.

My mother suggested drinking warm turmeric milk before sleeping to calm my nerves, which did help a bit. But for chronic cold sweats, I highly recommend visiting a doctor. It could be due to thyroid issues or underlying infections that need medical evaluation.

I used to wake up drenched in sweat even with the AC on full blast. Turns out I was just severely overworking myself and having silent anxiety attacks during sleep. Taking a break from screens before bed sorted it out for me.

Actually, I had this last month and it was so weird yaar. I would wake up shivering and sweating at 3 AM. It stopped once I cut down on late-night caffeine and heavy spicy dinners, so maybe try that first.

I agree with the others here. Checking your daily stress levels and getting a basic blood test is definitely the right first step.
