What causes cold chills without fever?

Sometimes I just feel cold shivers all over my body, even when the room is warm, and there's no fever at all. It's quite a strange sensation. What are some of the reasons for experiencing cold chills without fever?

Honestly, please dont ignore this. I had similar random chills last year and kept delaying the clinic visit thinking it is just weakness, but it turned out to be a major thyroid issue. Please get your blood work done soon, it is better to catch these things early.

I completely understand how scary and frustrating this is. I used to shiver under two blankets in a warm room while everyone else was fine, and it made me feel so anxious and isolated. Please be gentle with yourself and know that finding the cause takes a little time.

Bro same here, sometimes I get crazy chills while studying late night even when the fan is at speed 2. For me it is usually just lack of sleep and forgetting to eat properly. Try grabbing a hot cup of chai and a heavy snack to see if it stops.

Actually, this is quite common and usually points to anemia, low blood sugar, or thyroid fluctuation. Skip the internet panic and just book a basic CBC and thyroid profile test. It is the fastest way to get direct answers instead of guessing.

My son had this exact problem last winter where he would suddenly start shivering. We kept checkin his temperature but there was no fever at all. The doc told us it was just dehydration and mild vitamin D deficiency, so we started focusing on warm soups and his daily supplements.
