What causes cancer in humans?

My father recently got diagnosed with cancer, and it's made me really think about the disease. I know it's a complex thing, but I want to understand in general, what are the primary causes of cancer in humans?

My elders always told me that eating clean and living mindfully keeps diseases away, which is true to an extent. However, cancer is a complex cellular disease caused by genetic mutations, environmental toxins, and sometimes just aging. For any serious symptoms, it is always best to trust modern oncology specialists rather than assumptions.

While I love my street food and sweet treats, I do read up on how highly processed meats and excessive chemicals in foods can increase long-term cancer risks. It is all about balance—enjoying your food but also eating fresh fruits and veggies to get those protective antioxidants. Of course, genetics also play a massive role.

Drinking green tea, eating turmeric, and avoiding plastic containers are good daily habits to reduce stress on your cells. But we must understand that cancer is a deep genetic and systemic issue that requires proper chemotherapy or surgery. If there is any unusual lump or sudden weight loss, skip the home remedies and run to a doctor.

Look, there is no single cause. It is a mix of genetics, smoking, tobacco, pollution, and sometimes just bad luck with gene mutations. Don't fall for people selling miracle juice cures on the internet. If you feel something is wrong with your body, go to an oncologist and get tested.

I totally get it, just the word cancer brings so much fear and anxiety to our minds. It is caused by damaged DNA in our cells, which can happen due to lifestyle factors, family history, or environmental exposure. Please know that you are not alone in worrying about this, and regular health checkups can help find issues early.

My uncle was a super healthy non-smoker but still got diagnosed with lung cancer, which was a huge shocker for us. The doctors explained that genetic mutations can happen to anyone, alongside environmental factors like pollution. It really opened my eyes to how unpredictable these cellular changes can be.
