What causes belly pain and diarrhea?

Last night, after eating some street food, I started having severe belly pain and diarrhea. I'm feeling very weak now. What are the common causes for sudden belly pain accompanied by diarrhea like this?

Don't listen to people telling you to drink strange home concoctions for loose motions. It could be bacterial food poisoning or a viral infection. You need a doctor to evaluate if you need antibiotics or just ORS.

It is always better to get this checked by a physician. Belly pain combined with loose motions can quickly cause severe dehydration, which can be dangerous if left untreated. Please see a doctor soon.

I literally just recovered from this yesterday. It was a stomach bug. My doctor put me on hydration fluids and a light diet of curd-rice. Trust me, don't try to eat normal food too quickly, let your gut rest.

Haan na, stomach pain and diarrhea is the worst combination. Actually, outside food khane se infection ho jata hai. Take rest, drink ORS water, and go to the doctor if it doesn't stop.

Currently reading this while running to the washroom for the fifth time tonight. It is usually just bad street food seeking its revenge. Drink your electoral water and pray for sleep, or see a doctor if it gets too wild.

Oh no, please take care! I always worry so much when my stomach acts up because dehydration can happen so fast. Make sure you are drinking clean boiled water and keeping an eye on your symptoms. Please visit a doctor if you feel weak.

Don't stress too much, buddy, it is probably just a mild stomach upset from something you ate yesterday. Stick to simple boiled water, ORS, and curd rice. You will be absolutely fine in a day or two.

The most common causes are gastroenteritis, food poisoning, or water contamination. It is highly recommended to consult a doctor, maintain hydration with electrolytes, and avoid self-medicating with random antibiotics.

Bro, I had this last week after eating roadside momos. It was classic food poisoning. I just took ORS and light khichdi, but definitely go to a doctor if you start running a high fever.

In my sixty years, I have had this countless times. It is usually just the stomach cleaning out some bad water or food. Keep yourself hydrated with simple coconut water, but do consult a physician if you are elderly or if it persists.
