What causes beard dandruff?

I've been trying to grow a good beard, but I keep getting really flaky skin and itching underneath. It looks like dandruff, but it's on my face. What causes beard dandruff, and how can I get rid of it?

I barely have the energy to wash my face, but yes, beard dandruff is real. It is usually caused by a yeast called Malassezia which thrives on dry skin under the beard. Just use a little anti-dandruff shampoo on your beard and sleep more, it helps.

I have been getting these white flakes all over my black t-shirts and my beard skin feels so itchy. Is it because of some fungal infection or am I washing it too much? Has anyone else faced this and gotten worried about beard hair loss?

Sweat buildup from daily workouts combined with not drying your beard properly is a big cause. It creates a breeding ground for microbes. Keep your beard clean, dry it thoroughly after your gym sessions, and use a light oil.

After eating oily parathas or street food, if we don't wash our face and beard properly, food particles and oil get trapped. That grease invites dandruff-causing yeast. Wash your beard thoroughly after your food adventures!

Haan na, beard dandruff is so annoying. Actually, dry skin and not moisturizing after washing causes those white flakes. Thoda coconut oil or beard oil regular lagaya karo, it will go away easily.

If you don't have time for long grooming routines, just use a salicylic acid or ketoconazole face wash on your beard while showering. It is caused by fungal growth on oily skin. Takes exactly two minutes and keeps it flake-free.
