What causes back pain in females?

My mother has been complaining about constant back pain for years. She says it's just 'old age' but it seems more than that. Are there specific reasons that cause back pain in females, or is it the same for everyone?

It is extremely common and usually caused by hormonal shifts, pregnancy strain, or sitting for long hours. You are definitely not alone in dealing with this.

Between carrying heavy handbags, managing household chores, and dealing with monthly hormonal rollercoasters, it is a miracle your back isn't protesting daily! It is mostly just muscle fatigue and hormonal shifts. Treat yourself to a nice massage and some rest.

I totally get it, balancing work, home, and dealing with constant backaches is so exhausting and frustrating. It can be caused by anything from hormonal changes during periods to a lack of vitamin D and calcium. Please make sure you are taking care of your nutrition and resting well.

Back pain in women often comes from poor core strength, pregnancy posture shifts, or conditions like endometriosis and fibroids. Don't just dismiss it as regular fatigue or stress. Go to a good gynecologist or orthopedic doctor to find the root cause.

As someone managing diabetes, I have learned that chronic high blood sugar can affect nerve health and cause muscle stiffness, leading to back pain. It is also often due to hormonal shifts or bone density issues in women. Ensure you get your sugar levels and Vitamin D checked regularly.

Agreed. My wife suffered from this too, and regular core-strengthening exercises along with calcium supplements prescribed by her doctor made a huge difference.
