What causes arthritis in hands?

My hands have started getting very stiff and painful, making it hard to even hold a cup of chai sometimes. My wife says it could be arthritis. What causes arthritis in the hands?

Hand arthritis is usually caused by the wearing down of cartilage at the ends of your finger bones. Keep those fingers moving with some squishy stress balls, it really helps with the stiffness!

My mother suffers from osteoarthritis in her thumbs, and it makes daily chores so difficult. We got her some paraffin wax bath therapy at home, and it really helps soothe her joints.

Kneading dough for fresh parathas became so painful for my mom due to hand arthritis. Eating a clean diet with fewer inflammatory foods helped her regain some grip strength.

I had severe stiffness in my fingers which made writing impossible. My rheumatologist diagnosed it early as rheumatoid arthritis, and with the right medication, my hand function is back to 90% now.

Bro, my dad has this and it's basically genetic wear and tear. Using compression gloves while sleeping really helped reduce his morning finger stiffness, you should try it.
