What causes arch foot pain?

I've been feeling a lot of pain in the arch of my foot lately, especially after standing for long hours. My house help also told me she has similar issues. What causes this kind of arch foot pain?

Oh, foot arch pain is the worst, it makes me worry about nerve damage or arthritis every time it flares up! It is usually just strain on the ligament, but do get it checked by a podiatrist so you don't stress.

I went to a specialist hospital for my foot pain, and they diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis. I highly recommend asking an orthopedic doctor clearly about your foot structure instead of guessing.

I can only share what happened to me; my arch pain was caused by structural flat feet. Rolling a frozen water bottle under my foot for 10 minutes every evening gave me immense relief.

Most of the time, this happens because of bad quality footwear or flat feet. Buy a cheap silicon arch support insole from any chemist shop and wear comfortable walking shoes, it works wonders.

Please be careful; I ignored my arch pain for months and ended up with a severe tendon tear that required surgery. Go see an orthopedic specialist before the inflammation gets worse.

In our days, we dipped our feet in warm water with rock salt to relieve foot strain. Massage your feet with warm sesame oil at night, but if the pain persists, consult a local doctor.
