What causes an inflamed liver?

My latest blood test showed that my liver enzymes are high, and the doctor mentioned an 'inflamed liver'. I don't drink alcohol, and I'm quite healthy otherwise, so I'm confused. What could be the reasons for an inflamed liver?

Hamare yahan toh kehte hain ki zyada tala-bhuna khane se liver par sujan aa jati hai. Apni diet ko halka rakhein, khichdi khayein aur jaldi se bade doctor ko dikha lein.

Bro, I got an inflamed liver last year because of extreme fatty liver and bad lifestyle habits. Alcohol, too much junk food, and zero workouts will definitely ruin it. I had to cut down on sugar completely and start hit the gym.

Haan na, liver problems today are so common because of our sedentary desk jobs. Even my cousin had liver swelling last month due to some viral infection. A good doctor's advice and simple boiled food is the only way out.

Between back-to-back meetings, we eat whatever junk we find, which causes fatty liver and inflammation. Book a home collection blood test for Liver Function Test (LFT) this weekend itself. Don't delay it.

An inflamed liver, or hepatitis, can be caused by infections, certain medications, or fatty deposits. Please don't ignore this or try to treat it at home. Get an LFT blood test and ultrasound done immediately to be safe.

I am not a doctor so I can't tell you the exact cause, but when my liver was inflamed, it was due to a reaction to some heavy painkillers I took for back pain. Once I stopped those meds under doctor's guidance, my liver went back to normal.

A sluggish liver often comes from toxicity and stress. Along with your doctor's medicines, practicing gentle pranayama like Kapalbhati and eating a clean, plant-based diet will help heal the liver naturally.
