What causes an eye stroke?

My chacha ji suddenly lost vision in one eye yesterday, and the doctor called it an 'eye stroke'. We had never heard of this before. What exactly causes something like this to happen?

An eye stroke usually happens due to a block in the blood flow to the retina. Keep your mind calm, stay positive, and trust the treatment process. Praying for your quick recovery and peace.

I totally get how scary this situation must be for you right now. It is basically caused by poor blood circulation or a clot in the eye's blood vessels. Please don't lose hope, medical science has great treatments for this now.

Look, an eye stroke is a serious matter, usually linked to high BP, cholesterol, or diabetes. Don't waste time looking for home remedies on the internet. Take the patient to a good eye specialist immediately.

When my uncle had an eye stroke, we were all devastated and terrified of permanent vision loss. It is incredibly hard to process emotionally, but please know that timely medical intervention makes a huge difference. Hang in there.

I actually recovered from an eye stroke just three months ago. In my case, it was a sudden block in the retinal artery due to undiagnosed high blood pressure. I got to the hospital within two hours, and the doctors managed to save my vision, so please hurry.
