What causes a visual migraine?

Sometimes, I get these strange patterns or lines in my vision before a headache starts. A friend said it might be a 'visual migraine'. I'm wondering what causes a visual migraine to happen?

I ignored weird blind spots in my vision for months, thinking it was just screen strain, until it turned into a massive migraine issue. Visual migraines are caused by temporary spasms in blood vessels in your eye or brain, often triggered by stress or bright lights. Please don't be careless like me, go see an ophthalmologist or neuro doctor soon.

Fluctuating blood sugar levels and artificial sweeteners can sometimes trigger these ocular or visual migraines. I have to be very careful with my diet to avoid these sudden blind spots or zigzag patterns. Keep a food diary to see if certain foods are causing these episodes for you.

I agree with others, it's usually triggered by screen glare, dehydration, or stress. Keeping your room dark and drinking plenty of water helps a lot when it starts.

A visual migraine, or ocular migraine, is typically caused by temporary changes in blood flow within the retina or brain. Common triggers include stress, flashing lights, and lack of sleep. It is highly recommended to consult a neurologist to rule out any other underlying vascular issues.

Beta, yeh aankhon ke aage chamak aana aur sar dukhna thakaan aur dhoop mein zyada ghumne se hota hai. Aap thoda aaram kariye, aankhon pe thanda paani daliye aur doctor babu ko zaroor dikha lijiye taaki sahi dawai mil sake.
