What causes a psoriasis breakout?

My cousin has psoriasis, and sometimes he gets these flare-ups that are quite severe. He's trying to manage it, but it's tough. What are the common triggers or causes for a psoriasis breakout?

Bro, for me it is 100% stress and cold weather. Every time my exam or project deadline comes up, my elbows start flaring up. Drinking less water also makes it worse, so keep yourself hydrated.

It can be triggered by sudden weather changes, infections, or even skin injuries. Psoriasis is an autoimmune response, so please don't be hard on yourself. Just moisturize well and take things easy.

Inflammatory foods like sugar, gluten, and alcohol are major triggers for skin flares. I noticed a huge difference when I cleaned up my diet and started regular workouts to sweat out toxins. Give your gut health some attention!

I've had psoriasis for 15 years now. Breakouts are mostly triggered by throat infections, emotional stress, or certain medications. My tip is to always use a soap-free cleanser, apply coconut oil immediately after bathing, and consult your dermatologist for a proper topical plan.

My skin just loves to overproduce cells like it is running a factory on double shift! A bit of stress or some spicy street food, and my skin goes into party mode. Keep calm, slather on some moisturizer, and don't stress, otherwise the flare-up gets even angrier.
