What causes a liver hemangioma?

My aunt recently found out she has a 'liver hemangioma', and we're trying to understand what that means. Is it a serious condition, and what causes a liver hemangioma to form in the first place?

A liver hemangioma is basically a non-cancerous tangle of blood vessels in the liver. While it's not directly caused by diet, managing my blood sugar levels keeps my overall liver and blood vessels healthy. It is always wise to get regular checkups to monitor any changes in your liver.

Liver hemangiomas are benign clumps of blood vessels that are usually congenital, meaning you are born with them. They rarely cause symptoms or need treatment, but they are often discovered during routine scans. Please consult a gastroenterologist to get a proper evaluation of your specific scan results.

I had a 3 cm liver hemangioma detected on an ultrasound last year during a master health checkup. I panicked, but my doctor assured me it is completely harmless and just needs a yearly follow-up scan. It doesn't cause any pain, so don't stress yourself out over it.

Honestly, don't waste hours reading scary forum posts about liver tumors. A hemangioma is just a benign birthmark-like spot on your liver made of blood vessels. Just schedule a quick 10-minute consult with a physician, get your annual ultrasound done, and get back to your routine.

Haan na, seeing anything abnormal on an ultrasound report is so scary. But my doctor friend told me that liver hemangiomas are very common and mostly harmless blood vessel clusters. Just show it to your doctor once to be completely relaxed, ho na.
