What causes a hemorrhagic stroke?

My neighbour's husband had a very severe type of stroke called a 'hemorrhagic stroke'. I'm trying to understand what makes this kind of stroke happen. What causes a hemorrhagic stroke?

I love my extra-salty chaat and spicy biryani, but we really have to be careful with our salt intake. High blood pressure is the main culprit that weakens brain arteries until they burst, causing a hemorrhagic stroke. I am trying to cut down on extra papad and pickles now, health is important too!

In our village, we see many people getting this because of very high blood pressure that they never check. When the pressure gets too high, a small nerve in the brain can burst. Please go to the local clinic and get your BP checked regularly, it is a very simple thing to save your life.

Let's be direct: uncontrolled hypertension, heavy smoking, or an aneurysm causes hemorrhagic stroke. If someone shows sudden weakness on one side, slurred speech, or a severe headache, don't waste time on home remedies. Get them to a hospital with a proper CT scan facility immediately.

Hearing about brain bleeding and strokes makes me so incredibly scared. Does anyone else get anxious every time they have a heavy headache, wondering if it's high BP? How do you guys manage to stay calm and what tests should we actually get done to be safe?

A hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a weakened blood vessel ruptures and bleeds into the brain, mostly due to chronic high blood pressure. Keeping a low-sodium, plant-based diet rich in green leafy vegetables can help keep blood vessels flexible and healthy. Please avoid processed foods and consult your doctor for proper dietary guidance.
