What causes a heart attack?
My father had a heart attack a few years back, and since then, I've been more aware of heart health. I want to understand what are the main reasons someone gets a heart attack. Is it mostly about lifestyle?

Honestly, between my 3 AM office emails, black coffees, and zero sleep, my heart is probably crying for help. But seriously, junk food, constant stress, and no rest clog up those arteries over time. We really need to sleep more and eat less fried stuff, or our bodies will just rebel one day.
I totally get it, reading about heart health can make anyone super anxious. It usually happens when blood flow to the heart gets blocked, mostly due to plaque buildup from cholesterol and high blood pressure. Please don't stress yourself out too much, but do get regular checkups to stay safe.
At the end of the day, it's mostly about how we treat our cardiovascular system. Plaque builds up in the arteries when we eat too much trans fats and stay completely inactive. Just getting 30 minutes of daily movement and cutting down on processed sugar makes a massive difference for your heart.
Please don't search for symptoms online and believe random garlic or ginger remedies will cure artery blockages. A heart attack is a serious medical emergency caused by blocked blood vessels, high BP, or genetics. Only a proper cardiologist can run tests like an ECG or angiogram to tell you what's actually happening.
As someone who has been managing high blood pressure for five years, I can tell you it's a silent killer. High BP constantly strains your arteries, which can eventually lead to a sudden block and a heart attack. Please monitor your pressure levels regularly and keep taking your doctor's prescribed meds.

I had severe chest tightness last year and was convinced I was having a major attack, but it turned out to be just heavy acidity. Still, learning about it helped me realize that real attacks are caused by long-term arterial blockages. Definitely go see a doctor to get checked, it will give you total peace of mind.
At 52, my knees are creaking and my heart is carrying the load of thirty years of parathas and family drama. Heart attacks happen when those delicious oil-dipped foods finally catch up and block your blood flow. Time to swap the samosas for oats, even if it breaks our hearts a little!
