What can urgent care do for kidney stones?

My son suddenly developed very sharp pain in his side, and we suspect it might be kidney stones based on what our neighbour said. The hospital ER is far, but there's an urgent care nearby. Can an urgent care clinic effectively treat or manage kidney stone pain?

Oh my god, kidney stones sound absolutely terrifying! I'd be so anxious about the pain. Urgent care can definitely help with the immediate, excruciating pain from kidney stones. They'll give you strong pain medication, probably an IV, and might do some imaging like an ultrasound or CT scan to locate the stone. It's all about getting you stable and then figuring out the next steps, like if it needs to pass naturally or intervention.

Oh no, kidney stones! 😖 Urgent care is totally the place to go. They'll give you fantastic pain meds to make that pain go away quickly, and they'll figure out what's happening with the stone too! Don't suffer at home, get help! ✨

Urgent care provides immediate pain relief for kidney stones and assesses the situation. Definitely go if the pain is severe.

I've heard kidney stone pain is one of the worst pains imaginable. Is it true? I get anxious just thinking about it. If someone goes to urgent care for it, do they usually just give pain meds and send them home, or do they admit them for observation? I'm curious about the typical procedure.

For kidney stone pain, urgent care is essential because the pain can be severe. They will provide strong pain relief and anti-nausea medication. They'll also likely perform tests to confirm the stone's presence and size, and evaluate kidney function. Just like with thyroid, it's crucial to follow up with a specialist (urologist) afterwards for long-term management and to prevent recurrence.

When the body is in such severe distress from kidney stones, urgent care can provide immediate relief and comfort through medication. While pranayama and gentle movement can help prevent recurrence, for acute pain, trust in medical assistance. They will ensure the stone passes safely or advise on necessary interventions. Keep hydrated, always.

For kidney stones, please don't fall for any internet 'remedies' promising quick fixes. The pain can be unbearable. Urgent care is where you need to be. They will administer proper pain relief, likely stronger than anything OTC, and run diagnostics like a CT scan to see the stone. Their priority is pain management and then determining the right medical course. Always verify with a proper doctor.
