I've been dealing with piles for a while now, and the itching and discomfort are really bothersome. What can I put on them at home to get some relief?

My mother-in-law had this issue. She found relief with a warm sitz bath and applying a little aloe vera gel. Also, make sure you're eating enough fiber and drinking plenty of water. It really helps prevent straining.

While there are many home remedies and over-the-counter options, for something like piles, it's crucial to consult a general physician or a proctologist. They can recommend specific ointments or treatments based on your condition. Diet and lifestyle changes are also key.

Please see a doctor. Over-the-counter creams like Anusol or Preparation H can provide temporary relief, but it's important to get a proper diagnosis. Don't just self-medicate, especially with something like piles. They can get worse.

I totally get how uncomfortable this can be. For immediate relief, a cold compress can sometimes help with the swelling. Also, pure aloe vera gel, without any additives, can be soothing. But seriously, a doctor's visit is needed to know the best treatment.

Hmm, usually witch hazel wipes or creams can give some relief for the itching and irritation. Just make sure the area is clean and dry before applying anything. And increase your water and fiber intake, that's step one for sure.

I was just researching this for a friend. Apparently, warm sitz baths are really good. And some specific creams with hydrocortisone are available but need a doctor's prescription. Or like, you know, OTC ones. But better to ask a doc.
