What can cause lumbar pain?

I've been experiencing quite a bit of lower back pain, specifically in my lumbar region. It's been bothering me for a few weeks now. What are the common reasons for this kind of lumbar pain?

As a diabetic, I was warned that poor blood circulation or diabetic neuropathy can sometimes present as dull back pain. Please ensure your HbA1c is under control and don't neglect any nerve-related lumbar pain. Get a proper physical checkup from your physician.

Actually yaar, my lumbar pain was because of my daily long bike commute on these terrible potholed roads. The doctor told me to use a lumbar support belt and it literally changed my life. Maybe check if your daily travel is straining your back.

Please be very careful with lumbar pain. I ignored mine thinking it was a simple muscle strain, but it turned out to be a severe herniated disc that required months of intense treatment. Go to a neurologist or orthopedic specialist before it gets worse.

Don't stress too much, dear! It is probably just your back crying after a long week of work. Take a warm shower, put on a pain relief patch, and take a good nap. If it still hurts by Monday, we can visit a doctor.

Straight talk: if you have a belly and sit all day without doing any core exercises, your lower back is going to hurt. Stop popping painkillers. Lose some weight, do basic core strengthening, and consult a physiotherapist.

I panicked so much when my lower back started hurting, thinking my spine was damaged forever. It turned out to be just muscle spasms caused by sitting in a terrible plastic chair for 12 hours straight. Changing my chair and doing light walks made it completely disappear.

Lumbar pain can be very exhausting to deal with. Try to rest your back on a firm surface and avoid lifting any heavy items today. Wishing you some relief soon.

Hey, don't worry too much. Most lumbar pain is muscular and resolves beautifully with rest, heat therapy, and light stretching. Just avoid sudden bending movements for a few days, and if it doesn't improve, we will get a doctor to look at it.

Between my toddler waking me up at 3 AM and my lumbar spine acting like it belongs to a 90-year-old, I don't know what's more tired! Honestly, a bad mattress is usually the culprit for this morning back stiffness. Time for us to invest in a better bed.

I got crazy lumbar pain after lifting heavy weights with bad form at the gym. Honestly, a couple of weeks of complete rest, warm compresses, and learning how to deadlift properly sorted me out. Just don't push through the pain.
