What can be mistaken for kidney stones?

My husband had kidney stones a few years back, and he's complaining of similar pain now. We're getting it checked, but I'm curious what else can mimic the symptoms of kidney stones.

That intense pain people describe with kidney stones sounds terrifying, and it's so easy to imagine the worst when you feel any abdominal pain. Appendicitis, severe gas, or even certain ovarian issues in women can cause pain that might feel similar. It's completely normal to feel anxious about it.

While not directly related to thyroid, many abdominal pains can be confusing. I've heard appendicitis or even ovarian cysts can cause pain similar to kidney stones, radiating to the back or groin. It's always best to get diagnostic tests like an ultrasound or urine test done to confirm, just like we do for thyroid.

From my experience with health conditions like high BP, I know how interconnected everything is. Severe back muscle spasms, a really bad UTI, or even issues like diverticulitis can cause intense abdominal and back pain that might be mistaken for kidney stones. Regular health checkups are very important.

I once thought I had stones because of really bad side pain. Tried lemon water and everything. Turned out to be just a severe muscle strain from lifting. Also, a bad urinary tract infection can cause very similar burning pain. Don't waste time on home remedies if the pain is severe; go to a doctor.

This makes me anxious just thinking about it. I sometimes get very bad stomach cramps. Could those be mistaken? Or like, very bad gas pains? Do they feel similar to kidney stones for anyone else, or am I just overthinking?

Since I have PCOS, I know how confusing abdominal pain can be. For women, issues like ovarian cysts, endometriosis, or even a severe UTI can present with pain that might feel similar to kidney stone pain. It's important not to self-diagnose and to consult a gynaecologist or urologist.

Post-workout muscle cramps or a pulled muscle in the lower back or abdomen can sometimes feel like that sharp, radiating pain associated with kidney stones. Proper stretching and hydration are important. But if the pain is intense, with fever or blood in urine, immediately see a doctor, no workout for sure.

Haan, sometimes simple back ka dard, especially lower back, log kidney stones samajh lete hain. Aur haan, bladder infection bhi bohot pain karta hai, jo kidney pain jaisa lag sakta hai. Toh na, bina checkup ke guess mat karna.
