What bread is best for diabetes type 2?

My father was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and we're trying to adjust his diet. What kind of bread is best for him to eat that won't spike his blood sugar too much?

Whole wheat or multigrain bread with high fiber is generally recommended. Always check the label for sugar content.

Dekho, white bread bilkul nahin chalega. Maida hai usme. Whole wheat bread ya multi-grain bread le sakte ho, but even then, check ki usme kitna percent whole grain hai aur kitni sugar. Better still, roti khao, zyada healthy aur sasti bhi.

Please, please consult your doctor or a dietician. I made dietary changes based on internet advice once and it caused more problems. They can give you specific recommendations based on your blood sugar levels and overall health. Don't take risks.

My doctor at Apollo always says to pick bread with high fiber and low glycemic index. This means looking for genuine 100% whole wheat or high-fiber multigrain. Don't just go by color; read the ingredient list carefully. Ask your doctor for brand recommendations next time you visit.

For diabetes, it is important to eat mindfully. Whole grains are better, yes. Roti made from whole wheat atta is good. If buying bread, look for true whole grain, not just 'brown bread'. Also, pranayama and light yoga help manage stress, which also impacts blood sugar. So, a holistic approach is always good, haan.

As a vegetarian, I focus a lot on whole grains. For diabetics, 100% whole wheat or multigrain bread with at least 3-4 grams of fiber per slice is usually preferred. Avoid maida-based white breads completely. Even brown bread can be tricky, check ingredients.

Bread can be expensive, and finding the right one even more so. I try to stick to basic whole wheat rotis because it's cheaper and I know exactly what's in it. If you're buying bread, definitely look for '100% whole wheat' and compare prices. Tests are already costly, don't want to spend extra on bread that might not even be good.
