What arm aches before a heart attack?

My uncle had a heart attack recently, and he kept saying his arm was hurting before it. Which arm usually aches before a heart attack?

Typically, pain radiating down the left arm is most common, but it is a misconception that it only happens in the left. Pain can also occur in the right arm, neck, or jaw. If you experience sudden, unexplained arm pain with shortness of breath or dizziness, go to the nearest emergency room.

Usually, pain or discomfort in the left arm is the classic sign, but sometimes it can be the right arm or even both. Don't stress too much if you just have a simple muscle pull, but if it is accompanied by chest tightness or sweating, please see a doctor immediately.

As a diabetic, I am always told to watch out for atypical symptoms because we might not feel standard chest pain. An ache in the left arm or shoulder can be a warning sign. Keep your blood sugar in check, but get an ECG done immediately if you feel sudden arm discomfort.

While thyroid issues can cause muscle aches in both arms, a heart-related ache is typically felt in the left arm and can spread to the jaw. It is very important to get regular cardiovascular checkups if you have underlying metabolic issues. Never ignore sudden left-sided pain.

My uncle felt a dull, heavy ache mostly in his left arm and shoulder before his heart episode. He thought it was just gym soreness, but thank god we took him to the clinic in time. If you feel sudden numbness or ache there along with cold sweat, get it checked right away.
