What are thyroid follicles?

I'm studying about the endocrine system and came across the term 'thyroid follicles'. Can someone explain what these are and their function?

Humare gale ke andar jo thyroid gland hota hai, usme chhote chhote thaili jaise cells hote hain jinhe follicles bolte hain. Ye humare shareer ke liye zaroori thyroid hormone banate hain. Tension mat lo, ye sabke body mein hote hain, ekdum normal baat hai.

Basically, thyroid follicles are the structural units of your thyroid gland. Think of them as tiny factories that store and produce hormones like T3 and T4. If your doctor mentioned them in an ultrasound report, they might just be checking for any nodules or fluid-filled sacs in these follicles.

I have had thyroid issues for thirty years now, so I have read a lot about this. Follicles are just the natural building blocks of the gland. Don't worry too much when you see these medical terms on your lab reports; with age, I have learned that most of these things are easily manageable with a daily small pill.

Honestly, searching about thyroid follicles on internet forums will only confuse you with scary terms like follicular neoplasm. Internet remedies or self-diagnosis won't help here. Just show your report to an endocrinologist and let them explain what it means in your specific case.

Hey, I just studied this in my biology class! They are basically round microscopic structures in your thyroid that make thyroid hormones. Nothing to worry about unless your doctor specifically said there's a cyst or some abnormality in them.

I had an ultrasound last month and the report mentioned something about benign follicles. My doc told me it just refers to the normal tissue of the thyroid gland. Unless they find some abnormal growth or enlargement, it is completely chill.
