Listen, don't stress too much about it. A fever is just your body fighting off some tiny bug, which usually comes with chills, body ache, and feeling totally wiped out. Just take proper rest, have warm soup, and if the temperature doesn't come down in a day or two, consult a doctor.
Normally, a fever makes your body temperature rise above 98.6°F, and you will feel shivering, sweating, and a bad headache. Just drink lots of water, rest up, and you will be back to your energetic self very soon!
If you are suddenly shivering like you are in the Swiss Alps while sitting in 40-degree heat, that is a fever! Along with the high temperature, your body will feel like it got run over by a cycle. Just cuddle with a thermometer, take paracetamol if your doc advised, and enjoy some guilt-free TV time.
I am so sleep-deprived that my own head feels hot, but a real fever is when your body temperature crosses 99°F, accompanied by shivering and heavy eyelids. If you are also feeling tired and achey, join the club, get under a blanket, and take a good nap. Don't forget to measure it with a thermometer!
When you have a fever, your body temperature spikes, and you feel dehydrated with muscle aches. Please avoid any workouts or running when your body is hot and fighting an infection. Stick to complete rest and hydration, and only resume light walks once your doctor clears you.
