What are the symptoms of a minor heart attack?

My father recently had some chest discomfort and felt lightheaded, but he dismissed it as indigestion. Later his doctor said it could have been a minor heart attack. What are the typical symptoms one should look for in a minor heart attack?

I agree with everyone saying chest pressure shouldn't be ignored. Please go to an emergency room immediately if you feel heavy pressure in your chest or left arm.

My dad had what we thought was just bad acidity and gas, but it was actually a mild heart attack. He had this squeezing feeling in his chest and was sweating despite the AC being on. Don't risk it thinking it's gastric, get an ECG done immediately.

I survived a minor attack three years ago. The pain wasn't a sharp stab, but more like a heavy weight sitting on my chest, which slowly spread to my jaw and left shoulder. If you experience this along with sudden breathlessness, don't wait for your family doctor, head to the nearest casualty.

I often feel a mild squeezing sensation in my chest when I am stressed, but it goes away in a minute. Is that also considered a symptom of a minor heart attack, or does the actual pain last much longer? I am very new to all this and quite scared.

It is absolutely terrifying to feel chest discomfort and worry if it's a heart attack or just panic. Please don't sit alone with these thoughts. Going to the hospital and getting a quick trop-I test or ECG will either save your life or completely calm your anxiety.

Listen to me, there is no such thing as a 'minor' issue when it comes to the heart. If you feel tightness, unusual cold sweat, or pain moving to your throat, get up and go to the hospital. Do not sit and search Google for hours, just go.

I spent a whole night thinking my heartburn was just because of the spicy chole bhature I ate at 11 PM. It turned out to be a mild cardiac scare for my uncle who was staying with us. Honestly, if you're sweating like you ran a marathon while sitting on the couch, call a doc.

My husband thought he was just getting tired from climbing two stairs and blamed his old age. But that heavy chest feeling and slight breathlessness was actually a warning sign. Don't ignore these signals, your body isn't just complaining about age!

Please remain calm and do not let fear take over. If you or a loved one has chest pressure, nausea, or radiating pain in the left arm, it is a sign to seek medical help immediately. Keep a peaceful mind and let the medical experts handle it.

I ignored a mild discomfort in my chest for twelve hours, thinking it would pass. It led to a major blockage and I had to undergo emergency angioplasty with complications. Please, at the first sign of chest pressure or jaw pain, go straight to the hospital.

Stop reading people's comments about drinking garlic juice or taking home remedies for chest pain. A heart attack, minor or major, needs an immediate ECG and medical supervision. Go to a cardiologist and get verified tests done.

Even fit people can get cardiac issues due to stress or genetics. Symptoms like sudden, unexplained shortness of breath during light walking or chest heaviness should never be ignored. Get it evaluated by a doctor first, and then focus on a heart-healthy diet and active lifestyle.
