What are the signs of gum disease?

My gums sometimes bleed when I brush, and they also feel a bit swollen. My mother advised me to be careful, saying it could be gum disease. What are the signs of gum disease that I should be concerned about?

Don't worry too much, gum issues are very common and highly treatable. If your gums are bleeding during brushing, look red or swollen, or if you have persistent bad breath, these are early signs of gingivitis. Let's get it checked by a dentist before it worsens, okay?

A clean diet helps, but gum disease is mostly about oral hygiene. Key signs are gums pulling away from your teeth, bleeding while brushing, or loose teeth. Make sure you are flossing daily and book a professional dental cleaning to clear up the plaque.

Actually, my gums used to bleed every single time I spit out my toothpaste, yaar. I thought I was just brushing too hard, but the dentist told me it was early gum disease. Definitely get a scaling done before your gums start receding.

I panicked so much when I saw blood in my sink and thought my teeth were going to fall out! But my dentist reassured me it was just mild gingivitis from plaque buildup. A simple deep cleaning and regular mouthwash sorted it out completely, so don't worry.

Don't rely on oil pulling or chewing cloves to cure bleeding gums. While those might mask bad breath temporarily, they won't remove the deep bacterial plaque causing the infection. Please see a dentist for proper scaling and root planing.

In my experience, I only realized my gums were unhealthy when I noticed my teeth looked longer because the gums were pulling back. I also had a constant metallic taste in my mouth. A quick visit to my dentist got me the right treatment.

I have seen many family members ignore puffy, dark red gums until they developed severe tooth pain. Bleeding while eating hard foods like apples is a classic warning sign. Please schedule a dentist visit soon; early intervention prevents tooth loss.
