What are the signs of death after a stroke?

My grandfather recently had a severe stroke, and we are all very worried. The doctors aren't giving much hope. I need to understand what are the signs that indicate a person is nearing death after a stroke.

My grandmother went through this, and the end was actually very peaceful. We noticed her breathing became very shallow and irregular, and she slept almost all the time without responding. If you are caring for a loved one in this stage, please keep them comfortable and stay close.

When my father had his second stroke, we didn't realize how fast he was slipping away because we kept hoping he would wake up. His hands and feet became cold and pale, and his breathing became very labored. If you notice these critical signs of deteriorating health, ensure the doctor is monitoring them.

In old age, when the body prepares to rest after a major illness like a stroke, the person stops swallowing food or water. Do not force them to eat; just moisten their lips with a little gangajal or honey. Their breathing will change and they will slip into deep sleep.

I don't have medical expertise, but I watched my grandfather during his final days after a stroke. He became completely unresponsive, his breathing had long pauses, and his body temperature dropped. Please consult the palliative care team or doctor to make sure your loved one is in no pain.

Actually, when my uncle was in the hospital after a massive stroke, his organs started failing, yaar. The doctors told us to watch out for changes like blueish fingernails and very slow, rattling breathing. It is super tough to watch, but keeping them pain-free is what matters most.
