What are the most common types of arthritis?

My mother has been struggling with arthritis for many years, and it seems like there are different kinds. Could you tell me about the most common types of arthritis out there?

I am just starting to learn about this because my mother was complaining of finger pain. I read that osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are the main types. Does anyone know if gout is also considered a type of arthritis, and how we can test for it?

Osteoarthritis, which affects the cartilage, and rheumatoid arthritis, which causes joint inflammation, are very common. Practicing gentle joint movements, or Sukshma Vyayama, along with deep breathing can help maintain flexibility. Always listen to your body and practice mindfully.

With the way my back and knees creak at 4 AM after working all night, I feel like I have all of them. But seriously, osteoarthritis from daily wear and tear and rheumatoid arthritis, which is autoimmune, are the most common ones. I should probably sleep instead of googling bone diseases.

Yes, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are definitely the two most common types. Gout is also quite frequent.

Actually, my dad has osteoarthritis which is just age-related wear and tear, yaar. The other big one is rheumatoid arthritis, where your own immune system attacks the joints. It is best to get a proper blood test to find out which one it is.

Look, osteoarthritis is mostly about aging cartilage, and rheumatoid is an inflammatory issue. Don't waste time trying self-treatments for severe joint pain. Go to a good orthopedist, get an X-ray done, and start the correct medical treatment.
