What are the main functions of the liver in mammals?

My friend was just diagnosed with some liver issues, and it made me realize I don't really know much about this organ. What are the main things the liver does in mammals, actually?

Please take liver functions seriously; I had fatty liver complications that almost led to severe damage because I thought it only processed alcohol. The liver filters everything you eat and drink, and when it struggles, your whole body suffers. Get regular liver function tests (LFT) if you feel constantly fatigued.

My physician explained that the liver in mammals performs over 500 vital functions. The top ones are producing bile for fat digestion, filtering toxins from the blood, and storing glycogen for energy. It also synthesizes crucial blood-clotting proteins, which is why liver health is so critical.

The liver is basically your body's ultimate detox engine and chemical processing plant. It cleans out toxins, processes your daily protein and fat, and stores vitamins. If you eat out constantly and drink, you are overworking this organ, so start treating it better.

The main job of the liver is to digest our heavy food by making bile and cleaning out waste. To keep it running smoothly without spending a bomb on expensive detox juices, just drink enough warm water daily, limit oily parathas, and eat simple home food.

Hey there! Think of the liver as the body's main filter and storage room. It processes nutrients from food, neutralizes harmful toxins, and helps with blood clotting. Just make sure not to abuse over-the-counter painkillers like paracetamol, as they can stress the liver out.

Simply put, the liver manages energy storage and filters waste from our blood so we can function daily. Since we don't have time for long gym sessions, the least we can do for our liver is avoid processed junk during office hours and keep our alcohol consumption in check.

In mammals, the liver plays a massive role in metabolism, detoxification, and protein synthesis. It converts glucose to glycogen for storage and secretes bile to break down fats. Since its functions are so complex, any suspected liver issue should be discussed with a gastroenterologist for proper advice.
