What are the first signs of psoriatic arthritis?

I have psoriasis, and lately, some of my joints, especially my fingers and toes, have been feeling stiff and swollen. My dermatologist mentioned something about psoriatic arthritis. What are the first signs of this condition?

My fingers looked like swollen little sausages, which is a classic sign called dactylitis. I tried applying warm mustard oil with garlic, which gave some temporary relief, but you really need medical treatment to stop joint damage. Please consult a rheumatologist.

I have autoimmune thyroid issues and learned that joint pain often links to other autoimmune conditions like psoriatic arthritis. Look out for morning stiffness and pitted or discolored nails. Regular blood tests and autoimmune panels with a specialist are a must.

If you already have psoriasis skin patches and now your knees or heels are hurting, don't wait. Psoriatic arthritis can damage joints permanently if left untreated. Get a proper clinical evaluation from a rheumatologist immediately.

I was just reading up on this because of my mom's joint pain. It seems fatigue, swollen fingers, and pain where tendons attach to bones—like the back of your heel—are really common early signs. It is so tricky because it looks like regular arthritis.

Morning stiffness that lasts for over an hour is a big giveaway. Keeping active with low-impact walking helps a lot with stiffness, but only do it after your doctor confirms it is safe for your joints.

The tests like HLA-B27, X-rays, and MRI can get quite expensive in private labs. I suggest checking government hospital diagnostic wings or looking for packaged rheumatology panels online to save on costs. Plan your doctor visits carefully.

Actually, my friend had this and he thought it was just gym soreness, yaar. But his lower back and heels were constantly hurting in the morning, along with red skin patches. Don't ignore it thinking it's normal fatigue.
