What are the characteristics of good mental health?

Lately, I've been feeling quite stressed and burnt out with work. My friend suggested focusing on my mental health. What are some of the key characteristics or signs that indicate someone has good mental health?

Honestly, pehle toh I used to worry about every little thing, even small physical symptoms. But now I think good mental health is knowing when to worry a bit, and when to just let it go. It's okay to feel anxious sometimes, but then finding a way to calm down. Like, acknowledging the feeling first, then trying to understand it.

For me, being mentally healthy means I can handle daily stress without it impacting my work or my pocket. Like, not spending too much on unnecessary things just to feel better. Being able to plan finances and not letting money worries consume you is a big part of it, I feel.

Good mental health is about resilience. It's facing challenges head-on, not shying away from them. You should be able to manage emotions, maintain healthy relationships, and have a clear sense of purpose. No drama, just clarity and forward movement.

It’s not always easy, yaar. I've had my share of emotional ups and downs. I think good mental health means you're not constantly battling yourself. You can feel your emotions, good or bad, without them completely taking over. And knowing it's okay to not be okay sometimes, but still working towards being better.

When your mind is calm and peaceful, that is good mental health. Try to focus on the good things, do your prayers, and help others. It brings a lot of peace. Taking care of your soul is just as important as your body.
