What are the characteristics of a cancer?

My doctor told me to be more aware of my body and look out for any unusual changes, especially because of my family history of cancer. I want to know what are the common characteristics or signs of cancer I should be looking for?

I can only speak from what I've observed in my family's experience. My uncle had a lump that kept growing, and doctors called it cancer. It seemed to spread too. I'm not a doctor, so I can't give medical info, but the key was getting it checked when something felt off. Don't ignore persistent symptoms.

Generally, cancer cells are characterized by uncontrolled growth, the ability to invade other tissues (metastasis), and often an abnormal appearance compared to healthy cells. They can evade the body's immune system. However, specific characteristics vary by cancer type. For accurate information, it's always best to consult a medical professional, as self-diagnosis based on general characteristics can be misleading.

At my hospital, the doctors always explain that cancer cells are basically cells that have mutated and lost their ability to control their own growth. They can form tumors, and some types can spread. If you have any specific concerns about a lump or symptom, the best thing is to get it checked by a specialist directly. They can give you a clear diagnosis.

I had cancer a few years ago. From my experience, it starts with some cells going crazy, not stopping their division. They formed a lump which was initially small. The doc said they were also trying to spread. The key is catching them early before they get too aggressive. Don't ignore symptoms and get proper tests done. My life was saved because of timely action.

Bhai, simply put, cancer is when your body's cells start growing out of control and don't stop. They can form lumps and spread to other parts of the body. If you notice anything unusual, any persistent changes, don't sit on it. Go to a doctor right away, no excuses.

It usually involves abnormal cell growth that can spread. Best to ask a doctor if you have specific concerns.

Think of it as cells that have gone rogue. They don't listen to normal body signals to stop growing or die off. They just multiply rapidly, and can invade nearby tissues or travel through the bloodstream/lymphatic system to start new growths elsewhere. That's why early detection and treatment are so vital.

Oh, this is something I've actually looked up! Basically, it's when your body's cells start growing abnormally and don't stop, eventually forming masses. And some types can move to other parts of the body, which is super scary. It's crazy how complex our bodies are and how things can go wrong sometimes.
