What are the beginning signs of lung cancer?

I've been a smoker for many years, and lately, I've had a persistent cough. It's making me a bit nervous, so I wanted to ask about the initial signs of lung cancer. Hoping to catch anything early, if there is something.

I totally get why you're asking this, it's a very concerning topic. Early signs can often be vague, like a persistent cough or breathlessness, which can be mistaken for other things. That's why it's so important to get any unusual or persistent symptoms checked by a doctor, especially if you have risk factors.

As a parent, I'm always hyper-aware of any unusual symptoms in my family. For something like lung cancer, if there's a persistent new cough, chest pain, or unexplained weight loss, especially with a history of smoking, please take it very seriously. Get a doctor's opinion immediately, for your family's sake.

While knowing the signs is good, actually getting tests done can be expensive. For lung cancer, things like CT scans can cost a bomb. It's smart to have health insurance and maybe look for government schemes or trust hospitals that offer affordable check-ups if you have symptoms. Planning ahead helps.

My uncle had a persistent cough, thought it was just pollution or something, and kept taking syrups. Later turned out to be lung cancer. So yeah, if you have a cough that won't go away, or you feel tired all the time for no reason, just get it checked, yaar. Don't take chances.

Our breath is our life force, so any persistent change in breathing or a cough that lingers is a sign from the body. While pranayama helps in strengthening lungs, for such serious concerns, one must seek medical guidance. Listen to your body, and consult a doctor without delay.
