What are some signs of colon cancer?

My father is getting older, and I've been reading about various health risks. Someone mentioned colon cancer as a concern for older adults. What are some of the specific signs of colon cancer that one should be vigilant about?

Okay, so with colon cancer, watch out for changes in bowel habits that last more than a few weeks. That means diarrhea, constipation, or a feeling that your bowel doesn't empty completely. Also, blood in your stool (either bright red or very dark) and unexplained weight loss are big red flags. Don't ignore these, get a colonoscopy if your doc recommends it.

I totally panicked once when I saw some blood, thought the worst. Turned out to be just hemorrhoids, phew! But it taught me to pay attention. For colon cancer, things like persistent changes in your poop, or blood, or constant stomach discomfort, are important. Don't panic like I did, but do get it checked by a doctor quickly.

Yaar, colon cancer ke signs, actually, you have to be careful. Agar tumhara bowel movement pattern bohot change ho gaya hai for weeks, like kabhi loose motion, kabhi constipation, aur pet mein dard bhi ho raha hai, toh you should really see a doc. Aur agar blood bhi dikhe na, toh bilkul ignore mat karna.

I was diagnosed with early-stage colon cancer last year. My main symptoms were a persistent change in my bowel habits – I kept switching between constipation and diarrhea – and feeling really tired all the time. Luckily, my doctor insisted on a colonoscopy. Please, if something feels off, get it investigated, it makes all the difference.

For colon cancer, you'll see a lot of scary things online. Please, focus on verified symptoms. Persistent changes in your bowel movements, blood in stool, or unexplained abdominal pain are serious. Don't try any home 'cures' from YouTube. Go to a gastroenterologist and get proper tests done. That's the only way to confirm.

Colon cancer, huh? As if life isn't complicated enough already! But seriously, if your bathroom habits suddenly go haywire for weeks – like, you're either running to the toilet or can't go at all – or you see blood, it's not just a bad meal. Get it checked. My generation, we just blamed everything on 'garam taseer', but doc visits are a must now.

My doctor always advised vigilance for colon health. Key symptoms to watch for include a persistent change in bowel habits, such as diarrhea or constipation, or a change in the consistency of your stool, lasting more than a few weeks. Also, rectal bleeding or blood in your stool, persistent abdominal discomfort (like cramps, gas, or pain), and unexplained weight loss or fatigue are significant. Regular screening, especially after 50, is also paramount.

My bio teacher talked about this. She said watch out for really long-term changes in how you go to the bathroom, or if you see blood. Also, always feeling tired or losing weight without trying are big ones. Definitely not something to just ignore, like a bad internet connection.
