What are normal liver values?

My family has a history of liver issues, so I always try to keep an eye on my health. I'm wondering what are the normal liver values that one should aim for during a blood test.

Normal SGPT and SGOT are typically under 40 U/L, and bilirubin should be under 1.2 mg/dL. If any of these values are high on your report, please get it evaluated by a doctor. It is always better to be safe than sorry with liver health.

Bhai, normal bilirubin level 1.2 ke andar hota hai, aur liver ke baki point 40 tak hone chahiye. Zyada chinta mat karo, bas ghar ka shuddh khana khao aur thoda paani zyada piya karo.

I agree with the others here. Keep an eye on SGPT and SGOT, which should be below 40. Limiting alcohol and processed sugar is the best way to keep them normal.

My report showed SGPT at 46 instead of the normal 40. Did anyone else also get slight elevations like this without having any actual liver issues? I am feeling a bit anxious about it.

At my age, reading liver reports feels like checking a school report card, always hoping for under 40! If it's a bit high, it's just our body telling us we aren't 20 anymore. Just show it to your doc.

Don't ignore even slightly high values. My SGPT was 65 and I ignored it thinking it was just gas, but it turned into grade 2 fatty liver. Normal is under 40, so get a doctor to check it immediately.

Bilirubin under 1.2 and SGPT under 40 are normal. If you need to monitor this, always ask for a complete Liver Function Test (LFT) package rather than individual tests, as the package costs much less.

My SGPT was 85 due to a fatty liver. Let me tell you, normal is under 40, but you can easily reverse slight elevations. Cut down on simple carbs, do 30 minutes of cardio daily, and you will see the numbers drop in a couple of months.

Normal bilirubin is up to 1.2 and enzymes should be below 40. I tried all kinds of home syrups, but honestly, only a simple low-fat diet and prescribed medicines from my doctor got my levels back.

My thyroid issues sometimes affect my other blood values, so I get a full panel, including LFT, done regularly. Normal liver enzymes are under 40. Regular follow-ups with your doctor will keep you safe.

Keeping your SGPT and SGOT below 40 is key. If your doctor permits, try incorporating 10k steps a day. Regular cardiovascular activity is incredibly effective at reducing liver fat and improving enzyme levels.

Normal levels should be below 40 U/L for enzymes. In my experience, regular practice of Kapalbhati and eating fresh seasonal fruits can support liver health beautifully alongside your doctor's advice.
