What are high liver levels?

My friend's doctor told him he has 'high liver levels' after some blood tests. He's quite concerned, and I want to understand what that means. What exactly are high liver levels and what causes them?

I had high liver enzymes (SGOT and SGPT) on my report last year because of eating too much junk food and protein supplements. It basically means your liver is slightly inflamed or stressed. I stopped the outside food, worked out daily, and my levels came back to normal in two months.

High liver levels usually refer to elevated enzymes like ALT and AST in your blood test, which indicates liver irritation. Just like managing my blood pressure, keeping my liver healthy requires regular medical checkups and a low-fat diet. It is a signal from your body to start taking better care of your daily habits.

High liver levels can be easily managed if you make simple changes at home. Cut down on deep-fried food, bakery items, and alcohol completely for a few weeks. Drink plenty of water and eat fresh home-cooked meals, then repeat the LFT test after a month to see the improvement.

I almost cried when I saw elevated liver enzymes on my blood report, thinking it was liver failure! But my doctor laughed and said it was just a mild fatty liver from my stressful lifestyle. It's actually very common and reversible with basic diet changes, so please don't panic.

Drinking warm water with lemon in the morning and eating fresh papaya helps detoxify the liver naturally. But if you have yellowing of eyes, dark urine, or severe pain in the upper stomach, please don't wait for home remedies to work. Go see a doctor immediately for a proper checkup.

Haan na, even a little bit of oily food or taking too many painkillers can shoot up those liver numbers. It just means the liver is working extra hard to clean your body. Just give it some rest with simple boiled food and coconut water, and consult your family doctor, ho na.
