What are hemorrhoids and piles?

I've been having some discomfort lately, and a friend mentioned it could be 'piles' or 'hemorrhoids'. Are these the same thing? Can someone explain what are hemorrhoids and piles, and how they are different or similar?

Hemorrhoids, also commonly known as piles, are basically swollen and inflamed veins in your lower rectum and anus. Chronic straining during bowel movements is a major cause, which can also trigger spikes in blood pressure. It is important to focus on a high-fiber diet and regular medical checkups to manage both.

They are basically your body's angry reaction to you sitting on the toilet for too long watching Reels! In simple terms, they are swollen veins down there that make sitting feel like a challenge. Just eat your green veggies and put the phone down, you'll be fine!

Having thyroid issues often slows down my metabolism, causing severe constipation which can lead to painful piles. Hemorrhoids are just those swollen blood vessels that hurt or bleed during bowel movements. Keeping track of your thyroid levels and consulting your doctor regularly helps prevent these digestive side effects.

Haan na, piles and hemorrhoids are so painful and uncomfortable to talk about openly. They are just those swollen veins down there that cause burning and itching. Simple home foods like buttermilk and green leafy vegetables help a lot to keep things smooth, ho na.

My physician explained that hemorrhoids can be internal or external, depending on where the swollen veins are located. He emphasized that chronic constipation, pregnancy, and heavy lifting are common risk factors. He advised me that persistent bleeding should never be ignored as it requires proper clinical assessment.

Hemorrhoids and piles are different terms for the same medical condition, involving swollen veins in the anal canal. While they can often be managed with lifestyle changes and over-the-counter creams, consulting a doctor is the best course of action. This ensures you get an accurate diagnosis and prevent any complications.

I panicked so much the first time I saw blood in my stool, thinking it was some terminal disease. But my doctor assured me it was just a mild case of piles, which is incredibly common. Once I started drinking enough water and eating papaya daily, it went away, so please don't stress.

Managing diabetes means I have to be very careful with my diet, which naturally helps prevent constipation and piles too. Hemorrhoids are swollen rectal veins that can bleed. I focus on high-fiber grains like oats and daliya, which keep my sugars stable and my digestion smooth.

Bacha, bawasir (piles) pet saaf na hone ki wajah se hota hai. Jab hum zyada maida aur masaledar khana khate hain toh pet kharab ho jata hai aur pressure banta hai. Khoob pani piyo, dahi khao aur pet ko thanda rakho, sab theek ho jayega.

For mild piles, drinking warm water with isabgol at night and sitting in a tub of warm water gives great relief. But if you see bright red blood or feel extreme pain, please don't rely only on home remedies. Go see a doctor immediately to make sure it's nothing more serious.

Hey, don't feel embarrassed, so many of us deal with piles at some point due to sitting all day at desk jobs. They are just swollen veins that hurt when you pass hard stools. Try using a small stool to elevate your feet in the bathroom, it actually helps a lot with the straining!

I literally just recovered from a severe case of hemorrhoids last week. It's basically when the veins in your lower bottom get inflamed due to heat or pressure. Trust me, starting a high-fiber diet immediately and taking prescribed stool softeners is the quickest way to get relief.
